In a regular season matchup filled with intensity, SPSV’s JV team took on the Jaguars in a contest that highlighted defensive strategy and individual effort. Despite a strong push in the second half, SPSV came up short, with the Jaguars securing a 54-45 victory.
From the start, SPSV faced challenges against the Jaguars’ press defense. The consistent pressure and double-teaming disrupted their offensive flow, making it difficult to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Despite their best efforts to drive to the basket, SPSV struggled to convert their shots.

James Gentry stepped up as a key player, taking the offensive lead with his drives and determination to create scoring opportunities.

On the other end of the court, Ethan Santos anchored the defense with critical rebounds and his own drives to the basket, showcasing his ability to contribute on both ends. Together, they inspired their teammates with their effort and energy, fueling a late-game push that brought the Bruins closer.
The Jaguars held steady in the final minutes to secure the win, but SPSV’s resilience and effort were evident throughout the game. While the loss is a setback, it also highlighted areas of growth and potential for the team as they move forward in the season.
